Meet Our Team
Bill Douglass – President
Bill grew up in the small town of New Bern in eastern North Carolina. He got his start in the insurance industry in 1983 selling tax deferred annuities through First American Savings Bank. In 1985, he moved to coastal Wilmington, NC, where he joined Savers Life Insurance Company. Bill wanted to support agents serving local communities by selling different types of insurance.Read More
In 2003, Bill was part of an employee investment group which purchased Savers Marketing and the subsequently formed Savers Health as it exists today. At that point, the sole mission of Savers Health became to serve the public by providing quality insurance products.
Bill’s understanding of the ever-changing insurance marketplace helps him to simplify the choices he provides for his customers. He has a passion for helping the elderly maintain their independence as they age and making sure they get the services they need. Getting his customers fast and accurate answers to their coverage questions as well as evaluating changes in the marketplace to ensure our customers are in the best product for their needs are just a few reasons why he loves his job. He strives to make sure every customer is taken care of so he knows he’s made a positive difference in their lives.
When not at work, Bill enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors. If he’s not in the office, you’ll probably find him somewhere in the ocean, out of sight of land!
Brad Campbell – Vice President
Brad got his start in the industry with Liberty Life Insurance company, his first job out of college. After starting from scratch in his career, he managed to become #4 out of 19 agents within the first six months. He has been working in the insurance industry ever since, with his career eventually leading him to join Savers Life in 1985. He was one of four partners who purchased Savers Health in 2003.
Outside of work, Brad enjoys his growing relationship with God, his wife, and his family. He considers his grandchildren to be his greatest gift. Outdoor activities such as hunting, sports, or spending time at the lake or beach are things he enjoys most in life.
Matt Francis – Licensed Agent
Matt grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, where he still lives today. Before joining Savers, Matt worked in the Mortgage Insurance field for 12 years, where he managed an online enrollment system.Read More
Matt is known for making sure his customers are treated with a personal touch. He strives to be an advocate for his customers by finding a way to make complicated insurance products simple so the decision process is easy. It’s important to him that his customers gain a detailed understanding of the products they need so they can make the best decisions for themselves and their families.
When he’s not working, Matt is usually spending time with his wife and his two children. He enjoys being active in his local church community and taking part in outreach programs. You’ll probably find him running between the latest ball game or dance practice while trying to fit in a round of golf in between!
Scott Francis – Licensed Agent
Scott is a licensed Health and Life Insurance agent offering support in all aspects of Savers Health. He grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, and started his career in New York City, where he spent more than 10 years in mergers and acquisitions. He later returned to Winston-Salem to spend more time with his family, and continued his finance career for 4 years before joining Savers Health. To him, Savers Health offered an attractive career change with a world-class brand and top notch team dedicated to providing the highest quality service.Read More
Scott believes in taking a pragmatic approach to problem solving, and always putting the customer first by evaluating all the pros and cons of different options to help his customers arrive at the best solution. He is passionate about helping people in need, both through his job and his community outreach efforts. On weekends, Scott can be found spending time with his family, at an athletic event, or attending church.
Jerry Francis – Licensed Agent
Jerry grew up in rural Stokes County, NC, and moved to Winston-Salem to attend college. He spent the first 11 years of his career as a teacher, coach, and athletic administrator, and joined Savers Life in the summer of 1982 after completing his MBA at Wake Forest. He served as the Senior VP of Operations at Savers Life and later President of Savers Health, Savers Marketing and Savers Management Group.Read More
Team leadership and fostering relationships between his employees and their customers are some of Jerry’s strengths. He strives to create an environment where problems and their solutions are viewed and analyzed from multiple sides, all while keeping emotions in check. Seeing his team succeed is a driving force in his career.
From the mountains to the beach, Jerry enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. On afternoons and weekends, Jerry enjoys spending time on the golf course with family and friends, or watching Wake Forest athletic teams winning. He’s always very active in his church community, taking part in various activities and committees, and volunteers locally with programs aimed at helping seniors in need, such as Meals on Wheels.
Andres Solis – Licensed Agent
Andres is a bilingual insurance agent at Savers Health. He grew up in Guatemala, and later moved to the United States, where he began serving the diverse multicultural community in Winston-Salem. He worked as a Community Service Coordinator, Human Resources Manager, and a Medical Interpreter, helping Spanish-speaking community members overcome language barriers in order to get the services they need. During this time he recognized the need to educate people about health insurance policies and procedures and to provide counseling and support to those in need.Read More
His background in Human Services and social work has given Andres the compassion to help people in need. He has dedicated his life to his pastoral ministry and creating educational programs and opportunities for both individuals and families in his community. He uses his fluency in both English and Spanish to help his customers overcome cultural and language barriers so they can feel more comfortable and secure when doing business with him. His goal is to empower people to be successful by helping them find a solution to their healthcare needs.
Andres loves music, spending time with his family, and developing new relationships through work and his community. On the weekends he can be found working around his house, shopping, or traveling. He also provides pastoral counseling at his local ministry as well as translation and interpreting for friends and church members during court-related issues, doctor’s appointments, and job applications.
Cameron Farmer – Licensed Agent
We’re pleased to welcome Cameron as the latest member of the Savers Health team! Cameron grew up in NC and has lived in Winston-Salem for most of his adult life. He is happily married and the father to two wonderful kids. Before joining the Savers Health team, Cameron spent almost 20 years in the banking industry.Read More
Charlie Johnson – Licensed Agent
Charlie grew up near Greenville, South Carolina and now lives in Oak Ridge, NC with her husband and daughter. She worked in the staffing industry for 5 years prior to obtaining her Health, Life and Medicare Licenses in 2021 and joining Savers.
Heather Poindexter – Licensed Agent
Heather grew up near Elkin, NC, and has been a licensed insurance agent since 2006. She moved to Winston-Salem for her career and is happy to be a licensed agent for Savers Health today. Meeting new people and helping them find the insurance plans that will meet their needs are two things Heather loves most about her job. Her optimism and her ability to navigate the health insurance marketplace make her stand out as an agent.Read More
Heather is passionate about making sure her clients’ needs are met and providing a positive experience for everyone. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her daughter and grandson, camping in the mountains, and going to the beach.
Kristen Hailey – Customer Support
Kristen was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC. After getting married in 2017, she relocated to Lexington, NC, where she lives today with her husband, son, and 3 cats. After graduating from college, she first began her insurance career with Partners National Health Plans in 1998 in customer service, working with both customers, and medical providers. The company was then acquired by BCBSNC where she transitioned into the Medicare Advantage Sales Department as a licensed representative. In 2008, she began working with a group of local insurance brokers, representing the individual Medicare market, along with both small and large group insurance plans.Read More
In 2011, Kristen switched gears and became licensed in Property and Casualty, where she worked as a Staff Agent in a locally based State Farm office. In 2018, Kristen decided to get back into the life and health insurance industry and joined the Savers team. She has enjoyed assisting agents and customers with pinpointing products specific to their needs and effectively utilizing the required resources, while providing a positive experience.
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys helping with various church functions, where she is particularly active in programs for the youth members. She also enjoys frequent trips to the beach with her family and accompanying her son and husband at NASCAR events.
Sybil Price – Customer Support
Sybil spent most of her childhood in Stokes County, but later moved to Forsyth County, where she finished high school and still lives today. After graduating from college in 1987 she found her first job with Savers, and has proudly been with the company ever since.Read More
Sybil’s knack for problem solving allows her to help agents find affordable products for our customers and give them the best coverage for their money. She tries every day to make sure every agent knows how important they are to the company and to help them grow and build relationships.
Some of Sybil’s favorite ways to spend her time are spending time with her friends and family and helping others. When she’s not at work, she can usually be found working in her yard, spending time at church, relaxing at home, or driving through the mountains on a warm Sunday afternoon.
Robyn Churn – Licensed Agent
Robyn is from Raleigh, North Carolina and moved to Winston-Salem with her husband and twin children in 2011. She obtained her life and health licensing in 2019 and joined Savers.Read More
Prior to Savers, Robyn had a career in the mortgage industry for 20 years, working as a loan originator and a compliance manager. She is a graduate of Meredith College with a degree in business and a focus on Human Resources.
